User Mapping
User mapping connects PrimeRole and Salesforce users, crucial for proper record ownership and attribution within Salesforce.

Automatic User Mapping
The system attempts automatic mapping by matching email addresses between PrimeRole and Salesforce user accounts.
Manual User Mapping
If automatic matching fails:
- Locate Unmapped User: Find the unmapped user in the User Mapping interface.
- Select Salesforce User: Select the corresponding Salesforce user from the dropdown menu.
- Verify Mapping: The system will display the mapped Salesforce email for verification.
- Confirm Mapping: A status indicator will confirm successful mapping.
Record Ownership
Record ownership is managed as follows:
- Owner Field Mapping: Map PrimeRole's record owner field to a Salesforce user reference field (commonly "Owner ID").
- Ownership Assignment: The system automatically assigns ownership based on the user mapping. Created records will be owned by the mapped Salesforce user. If no mapping exists, ownership defaults to the integration creator.
Additional Notes
- Records may fail to be created if the owner field is mapped but the user mapping is missing (Salesforce will return an "Owner ID cannot be empty" error).
- Records for unmapped users will be owned by the integration creator (this prevents creation failures but may require manual reassignment).
